Women are always a source of #inspiration for the family and society. We greatly appreciate the involvement of #women in our #PeaceBuilding efforts at La República De La Felicidad Community.

Today, we globally recognize the importance of women's roles in the empowerment of our societies. We must never forget the sacrifices they have made so that we can learn the true value of equality.
We must acknowledge that women disproportionately suffer during and after armed conflicts, as existing inequalities are magnified. This makes them more vulnerable to sexual violence and exploitation, as well as to domestic violence and verbal abuse within our societies.
As a community of peace-builders, we must do our best to raise and educate a society grounded in wisdom and peace, following the lead of women in their empowerment. They know best how to foster this change. We should support the women leaders in our societies, starting with the ones closest to us.
On behalf of LRDLF, we wish all the respected members of our Community and citizens of the world a blessed International Women's Day today.
